Ingredients

For the pancake

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 100g shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • sunflower oil
  • 1 spring onion (divided for pancake & garnish)
  • Mayo, nori for garnish (optional)

For the okonomiyaki sauce

  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce

Recipe

  • Mix the okonomiyaki sauce ingredients and set aside.
  • Mix the egg, flour, soy sauce, sesame oil to make the batter. Fold in the shredded cabbage and chopped spring onion.
  • Heat oil in a pan on medium heat and add in a ladle of the batter.
  • Let it cook for 4-5 mins on one side or until golden brown before turning over and cooking for another 5 mins.
  • Drain on a paper towel lined plate.
  • To serve, spread a tbsp of the okonomiyaki sauce on top, line with mayo and sprinkle the remaining spring…
